Detroit Lions juggernaut (wide receiver) Calvin Johnson has landed the coveted cover of "Madden NFL 13." The "victory" over Carolina QB Cam Newton ensures that the Vikings could be the beneficiary of the "Madden Curse" twice next season.
The Madden Curse has enough history to have gained traction with some players. Peyton Hillis, who appeared on the cover of last year’s game, claims that the subsequent season led him to believe in curses. Johnson’s teammate Nate Burleson has admitted that he believes in the Curse.
